Zenimax files “Nuka Cola” trademarks, reignites Fallout 4 speculation

Latest news! Bethesda’s parent company ZeniMax Media has filed three trademarks for “Nuka Cola” as regards games, entertainment services and apparel, in what smells again like evidence that a new Fallout game is in production.

Spotted by NeoGAF users, the trademarks were filed on 11th April, and are in addition to Bethesda’s 10 existing Fallout trademarks. Here’s what they cover in detail:

“Entertainment services, namely, providing on-line interactivecomputer games; entertainment services, namely, providing information and entertainment relating to electronic computergames via the Internet”

“Clothing, namely, shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, headwear, namely hats; footwear, namely shoes and sneakers; jackets, fleece pullovers, pants, sweatpants, jeans”

“Computer game software for use with computers and video game consoles; downloadable computer game software offered via the internet and wireless devices; computer game software for use with on-line interactive games”

Alleged “casting documents” for a new Fallout appeared online in December. Skyrim game director Todd Howard has suggested, however, that it’ll be a while till his team’s next big game goes public.

“Todd Howard, at this point, has earned the right to do what the hell he wants,” Bethesda’s marketing VP Pete Hines said of the unannounced project during an interview with OXM last June. “Nobody gets to tell him different and nobody gets to dictate to him what he gets to do.”

Any hopes?
