It seems that the developers behind Dragon Age: Inquisition have realised how crowded the 7th October is, as Bioware have delayed Dragon Age for release Nov. 18 in North America and Nov. 21 in Europe, the studio announced today.
In an open letter on the game’s website, executive producer Mark Darrah said, “While this extra few weeks may not seem like a lot, I know the game you’ll play will be all the better for it.”
Darrah added, “This last bit of time is about polishing the experience we want you to see. Ensuring that our open spaces are as engaging as possible. Strengthening the emotional impact of the Hero’s choices. And ensuring the experience you get is the best it can be in the platform you choose to play on.”
Now don’t get me wrong, but we have heard many developers say that they are delaying a game because ‘they want more time for polish’. But are you sure EA that its not because of something else? Either way it’s not like they jump from the frying pan into the… oh… Far Cry 4 and Pokémon… oh well at least October 7th is a little less crowded.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is in development on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
