Insurgency, the brutally unforgiving first-person shooter currently available on Steam, has a console release in its sights.
Game director Jeremy Blum revealed in a new update on Steam Community that he’s mulling over bringing the game to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
“Although the game may be considered a ‘finished’ product, we are constantly evolving our vision and looking forward to growing in the years to come,” he said. “We have ‘next-gen’ and console ambitions. Whether or not we stay on the same engine, we will see, but one thing we know is this is just the beginning.”
For those not au fait with Insurgency’s hardcore gameplay stylings, the FPS does away with a crosshair and gives you just one-life to play with. As you can imagine, there’s a strong emphasis on multiplayer modes, with teamwork and communication absolutely vital if you want to be victorious.
